Research

My research primarily focuses on the hormone ghrelin and its related enzyme ghrelin O-acyltransferase (GOAT). We are currently examining ways to knock-down GOAT or reduce levels of acylated ghrelin and the effect this has on rodents. I have also collaborated with the lab of Dr. Barbara Woodside at Concordia University, examining lactation, and the lab of Dr. Zul Merali at the Institute of Mental Health Research. Outside of neuroscience, I have a strong passion for coding and game design, particularly on mobile platforms.
